- About Me: Software developer/IT manager/Private pilot. Single, have a cat and a dog (pug), both named after NASA space programs....well the cat was first, named Apollo and after that it seemed like a good theme at the time...ya (edit - both of these furry babies are no longer with me, but they were a big part of my daily life and important to me) Stereotypical Aquarian and professional introvert. Highly adept in technological, electrical and mechanical areas, less adept at complicated social situations (ones where jeans are considered underdressed). I can go weeks without reading, then devour a 500 page book in one sitting and do that night after night for weeks. Moderation they say Huge animal lover. On the list of overall "deal breakers", not liking animals would probably be right near the top. Besides its hard to NOT love an adorable pug or an older overweight but sweet cat. I am somewhat health conscious about what I eat, but am not a vegetarian. Oh..and I drink coffee till late in the evening. Somewhat of a tree-hugger. Actually more like a tree handshaker. Oh..intelligence and command of the English language is utterly and completely sexy! I also though do compose music. My compositions range from very somber classical styled pieces to techno/trance type stuff. I think if I had to say it another way..I enjoy the tranquility and silence of my home or the woods and really am pretty good without having to have music. I don't watch a lot of television. Some documentaries, science/history shows and interesting series like Game of Thrones, Lost, BSG, The Newsroom, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Sense8, Humans Bought a foreclosed house, have been working on it intermittently. Flooring is not done yet, so there are sections of bare plywood (wear slippers should "we" get that far). However, the house IS on a river, with a nice firepit and plenty of mosquitoes. Oh, if you are familiar with MBTI personality types, I am an INTP Very anti-drama, anti-conflict. Have relatively designed my current life to be as stress free and peaceful as possible. I did quit smoking, but I do "vape" (which is an electronic cigarette type of nicotine "replacement") I"m balance being a controls engineer and working on my house. I am not quite the worlds most interesting man. As an aside, I do also perform locksmithing and piano tuning. Oh and computer repairs, machinery repairs etc. I suspect if I take up shoe repair and candlestick making, I could do well in a small turn of the century village. I'm struggling to have a greener thumb. The desire is there, the ability seems lacking. That and weeds..I fear weeds as 1/2 the time I'm not sure if it really IS a weed. If only they had barcodes, that would be cool.
