Hi, my name is Jo and, while not entirely new to online dating, have continued to realize who I am the more the years go by. By no means should that mean I've got it all figured out, but I'm here with hope. While born male, I am a transgender woman who would love to meet a woman who gets me, who can help me feel safe being in love, that I'm protected in showing passion. I am a big believe in "trust but verify" and like to think I keep an open mind about many different topics.

My reality is, while I've been a transwoman all my life, it's only been within the last 18 months that I came to realize and accept it as part of who I am. I have considered hormone treatments and surgery, but am not ready to commit to something that life changing. I'm just starting with a therapist about this and look forward to figuring out more about myself. I consider myself cute and, at the moment, more gender neutral than my desired feminine outcome. I am eager for the day when the person I am in my head is able to come out and want to be with someone who understands and supports me being me, just as I would for her.

I'm a proud dog Mom and enjoy wood working, keeping my yard clean, singing, movies and books around scifi, fantasy, horror, suspense. I enjoy a good debate, those ones that don't get heated, but instead allow for free expression of ideas and counter points. Going to the museum is amongst my ideas of a good time, especially art or sciences. My best vacation setting is a cruise, just being out to sea and enjoying the wind and water, reading a book, enjoying not having to decide on where to eat or where I'm going.
